Sorb-a-deck Every other manufacturer on the market uses rubber or "springs" under their deck to give you the sense of cushioning. What you want in a treadmill is shock absorption not shock spring. If you feel like your bouncing on a treadmill when you walk or run on it, essentially the energy you put into the deck is being bounced back into your joints. Bodyguard is the only company on the market to use a material called Sorbothane under their deck in place of rubber or springs. ESC (Electronic Stride Control) In simple terms, you can't overspeed a Bodyguard treadmill. No matter how hard you try, you can't push the belt with your foot to make it go faster than the speed it is currently set at. Why is this a big deal? If you run or walk at an incline, regardless of your weight, the machine will keep a more consistent speed. Although it might not sound like a lot, it is one of their most important treadmill innovations. Why does no one else do it? It costs more money to do it. The value of the Bodyguard treadmill is adding up quickly. Silicone Keys All Bodyguard machines have raised silicone keypads which allow for a positive button push. Heart Rate Access Skip the programming, you can lock into a Heart Rate Workout on the fly. By either wearing a chest strap or holding onto the contact heart rate, simply press the GREEN button when you have achieved your target heart rate and you now be locked into a heart rate workout. Simple and effective HR training. Indestructible Motor Hood Cover Step on competitors motor hood cover and plan on replacing it. Step on a Bodyguard hood and watch it pop back into place. The Bodyguard motor hood cover is made of the same material that is used in Rubber Maid trash cans. Bodyguard takes the extra step. Options Most companies have the philosophy of one size fits all. Bodyguard offers options for all of their machines. Contact Heart Rate, Short Handlebars, Long Handlebars, No handlebars, Reading Racks, water bottle holders, the ability to have the machine read in Kilometers, the ability to setup User Ids for people to track their progress, the ability to set maximum speeds and more.
