We were one of the first fitness stores in the country to offer Octane elliptical machines. We have represented the company since its inception in 2003. The company which has dedicated itself to making just ellipticals, has experienced phenomenal growth in a very short time. It seems that Octane entered the scene at the perfect time when no other company was giving 100 % effort at making a good elliptical product. Their first product to hit the scene was a standard elliptical machine that just looked different and had some neat selling features like closer pedal spacing, low step up height, and motivating programs. In 2004, we feel that this small company took the world by storm by offering an adjustable stride length feature on their machine. While other companies were wasting their time trying to put elevation changes in their machines, Octane went a totally different direction with a design that targeted different muscles in the legs throughout the workout,
but moved in a healthier motion by adjusting the length of the stride automatically. This year, 2007, will be a very good test for this company because they have awoke the sleeping giants. Nautilus and Cybex are on the attack with some very neat machines that will challenge their product and company.

This is a new, updated model for Octane this year at an aggressive price point. Differently than last years Q35 model, Octane has done a few different things. Surprisingly, Octane has lengthened the stride length by 1 inch. Last year, the overall stride length was 19.5" and this year it has been adjusted to 20.5". It's odd to see that the company would adjust something that was the fuel to their success. Other changes include that they have brought the pedal spacing on the machine even closer and wrap the base of the machine with metal tubing for greater stability. This model will only come with one electronics package that gives basic programming and readouts. No heart rate option available anymore, they encourage you to go to the next model called the Q37. They have changed the color of the machine from black to gray and somehow make it look smaller.
